(1) Custody and maintenance
Improper storage is one of the important reasons for the damage of power station valves.
The valves of the power station should not be piled up randomly. The valves of the small power station should be placed on the shelves, and the valves of the large power station should be arranged neatly on the floor of the warehouse. Do not let the flange connection surface touch the ground. Protect the power station valve from being damaged.
For power station valves that will not be used in a short period of time, the asbestos packing should be removed to avoid electrochemical corrosion and damage to the valve stem.
The power station valves that have just entered the warehouse should be inspected. If rainwater or dirt has entered the process of transportation, they should be wiped clean and then stored.
The inlet and outlet of the power station valve should be sealed with wax paper or plastic sheets to prevent dirt from entering.
Anti-rust oil should be applied to the processing surface of power station valves that can rust in the atmosphere to protect them.
The power station valves placed outdoors must be covered with rain-proof and dust-proof items such as linoleum or sheet cloth. The warehouse where the power station valves are stored should be kept clean and dry.
(2) Use and maintenance
The use and maintenance is to prolong the life of the valve of the power station and ensure the reliable opening and closing.
The stem thread often rubs against the stem nut, and a little butter or graphite powder should be applied to lubricate.
For power station valves that are not frequently opened and closed, turn the handwheel regularly and add lubricant to the valve stem thread to prevent it from being bitten.
For outdoor power station valves, a protective cover should be added to the valve stem to prevent rain, snow, dust and rust.
If the power station valve is a mechanical transmission, it is necessary to add lubricating oil to the gearbox on time and keep the power station valve clean.
Do not rely on the power station valve to support other heavy objects, and do not stand on the power station valve.
The valve stem, especially the threaded part, should be cleaned frequently and new lubricant should be added to prevent the hard debris in the dust, wear the thread and the surface of the valve stem, and affect the service life.
